Getting a Feel for Paleface Picasso
Paleface Picasso was born on Dec, 4 1976 in Muncie, Indiana. He had a fairly happy childhood with two supportive parents, both of whom were in the household in his youth, but later divorced. As a youngster he could be described as athletic, intelligent and imaginative. Full of life, hopes, dreams, and insecurities like most children are. A typical happy, fun loving, and optimistic kid with a big heart!
Paleface Picasso began to develop social issues as a teenager, "a chip on his shoulder" let's say. His own defense against his social insecurities and the characteristic preyed upon most frequently by the streets amongst teenagers. This resulted in frequent fights, suspensions, and expulsions,. He had developed the reputation of a "tough guy" and embraced it as his identity. Always looking for the opportunity to prove himself, he was easily seduced by street life and gang activity as so many youngsters are. As a white male spending much of his time in predominately African American neighborhoods, the rap/hip hop culture began to consume him. His reputation grew, and he began to be recognized as "that crazy white boy who could rap and ball"
Athletics has always been a major part of Paleface's life. A standout on the baseball diamond and basketball court sports provided relief from his self destructive lifestyle on the streets and at home. Unfortunately, the street mentality carried over into the athletics as it does so often and limited his high school achievements. Even despite his limited playing time due to expulsions, he was still offered multiple scholarships for his athletic talents all of which was destroyed by his emphasis on a streets lifestyle/rep and the beginning of alcoholism. He was given full-ride scholarships to two different collages and kicked out of both for fighting, drinking and misconduct. The Scouts quickly dropped out of the picture, the lights began to dim, and his athletic career was over.
The Streets were quick to embrace the troubled young man and soon became his only way of life. Enforcing, hustling, gang involvement and thievery finally caught up to him in 1998. He was arrested and charged with armed robbery, resulting in a 3 year prison term. Upon release, he continued this way of life resulting in various misdemeanor charges, a second felony conviction for battery, and an implication in 3 other robberies (which were later dismissed).
Paleface Picasso at this point began to attempt a lifestyle change. Still struggling with alcohol abuse and inner demons change didn't come easy, there were lots of ups and downs to put it mildly. The constant battle with changing his life often led to drinking binges and compromising situations on the streets. Many times frustrated and wanting to provide for his two sons he justified his street involvement and actions. Ultimately he paid the price of his actions, on Oct. 13, 2004. He was shot 5 times from behind outside a local club after an earlier altercation had taken place. Paleface Picasso was shot from behind in both legs, the buttocks, and twice in the abdomen. They then drug what they believed to be his lifeless body to the rear of the building where they attempted to conceal it under a picnic table and loose brush. Upon arrival approximately fifteen minutes later, the police found a blood trail leaving the sidewalk and around the building where his seemingly lifeless limp body lay unsonscious, and barely alive. Rushed to the hospital, he miraculously survived permanently left with scars that remind him of his choices and his marriage to the streets! No arrests were made due to his unwillingness to inform the police of those responsible. Shortly after his recovery, he returned to prison on a weapons charge.
Up until this point Paleface Picasso had never fully embraced the truth. "Every man is responsible for his own actions and furture". He credits his faith, children, and fervor for knowledge of truth as the driving force behind his lifestyle change. Paleface now devotes the majority of his time to his faith, children, music, and fishing. He volunteers and advises many adults/youth on matters of life which he has lived through and learned from. His 100% sobriety approach to his life has allowed him the freedom to express himself in his music. He has a natural gift for the music and has lived a life that reads more like a movie than one person's life should.
On Jan 31st, 2010, Paleface Picasso signed with Travis Records llc allowing his music career to be officially launched. He feels obligated to speak to others on the dangers and struggles regarding the lifestyle most rappers glamorize, but few have ever lived. He is making his mark on the music industry by what he refers to as, "Real Life Music". All the events in his life have led up to this moment. Travis Records llc is proud to present Paleface Picasso in what has been a lifetime in the making!
